Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3, 000 rpm without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on.
Let the engine idle for at least 5 seconds.
Drive the vehicle in 5th gear at a steady speed of 12 mph (19 km/h) or more at a steady engine speed between 1, 950 - 3, 300 rpm for at least 5 seconds.
- Drive the vehicle in this manner only if the traffic regulations and ambient conditions allow.
