Repair Procedures: Installation
CAUTION:
Replace the circlip with new ones after removal.
- Apply gear oil on the drive shaft splines (A) and the contacting surface of differential case oil seal (B).
- After installation, check if the drive shaft cannot be removed.
[RH]
- Install the inner shaft bracket mounting bolt (A).
Tightening Torque:
50 ~ 65N.m (5 ~ 6.5kgf.m, 36 ~ 47lb-ft)
- Install the inner shaft cover (A) by installing the cover mounting bolts (B).
Tightening Torque:
9 ~ 14N.m (0.9 ~ 1.4kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 10lb-ft)
- Install the fork (A) to the front strut assembly (B).
Tightening Torque:
60 ~ 80N.m (6 ~ 8kgf.m, 44 ~ 59lb-ft)
- Install the connecting bolt between the fork (A) and the lower arm.
Tightening Torque:
140 ~ 160N.m (14 ~ 16kgf.m, 101 ~ 118lb-ft)
- Install the stabilizer link (A) to the fork (B).
Tightening Torque:
100 ~ 120N.m (10 ~ 12kgf.m, 74 ~ 88lb-ft)
- Install the inner shaft bracket mounting bolt (A).
- Install the drive shaft (A) into the front axle assembly (B).CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the boot.
- Install the knuckle in the lower arm assembly and tighten the bolts (A).
Tightening Torque:
100 ~ 120N.m (10 ~ 12kgf.m, 74 ~ 88lb-ft)
- Install the tie rod end (A) in the knuckle.
Tightening Torque:
24 ~ 34N.m (2.4 ~ 3.4kgf.m, 18 ~ 25lb-ft)
- Install the wheel speed sensor in the knuckle.
- Install the brake hose bracket (A) to the front knuckle.
- After installing the washer (B) with convex surface outward, install the lock nut (A) and the spilt pin (C).
Tightening Torque:
200~280N.m (20~28kgf.m, 148~207lb-ft)
- Install the wheel & tire assembly.
