Axle Shafts: Description
The front axle consists of front hubs, knuckles, wheel bearings and driveshafts. The wheel bearing is a double row angular contact ball bearing which incorporates the oil seals and is highly resistant to a thrust load.
The axle shafts are made up of type Rzeppa Joint (RJ), Birfield Joint (BJ) and Tripod Joint (TJ) joints and solid metal shafts. See Fig 1 . The dynamic dampers have been mounted on the right and left driveshafts to reduce vibration.
