Shift Lever Position Switch Test: Legend

Remove front console. Disconnect shift lever switch wire harness connector. Check continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. See Fig 1 . Continuity should be present between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when shift lever is in "2", "S", and "D". There should be no continuity when shift lever is in "N", "R" and "P" positions.
