Temperature Control Dial
Turning the temperature control dial clockwise increases air temperature by mechanically opening the heater control valve and air mix mode door. See Fig 1. On LS and GS models, the air mix door is electrically operated. Air passes through the heater core, is warmed, and distributed to selected passenger compartment outlets.
