Removal (Integra)
- Bleed high pressure from maintenance bleeder screw. See RELIEVING ACCUMULATOR/LINE PRESSURE
under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Without removing pump inlet line, remove brake fluid from modulator reservoir. Remove reservoir strainer. See Fig 1
.

- Remove 2 screws from inside of modulator reservoir, and remove reservoir. Screw 6-mm bolt into center of solenoid head. Tighten bolt until solenoid head can be lifted off solenoids. Lift solenoid head, and set it aside without disconnecting pump inlet line.
- Remove solenoid harness grommets from solenoid cover. Remove solenoid cover. Remove ABS motor relay (Green connector). See Figure
. Install an on/off switch between White/Blue and White/Red wires of motor relay connector.
- Place shop towels around bottom of solenoids. Watch filter screens on top of solenoids, and run pump for 2-3 seconds. Brake fluid will flow from filter screen of leaking solenoid. Bleed high pressure from maintenance bleeder screw. Loosen all solenoid set plate bolts. Remove bolt closest to leaking solenoid.
- Push down on leaking solenoid to free solenoid "O" ring. Lift set plate enough to turn solenoid 1/2 turn to align solenoid tab with cutout in set plate. Remove solenoid. Each solenoid is marked to match mark on solenoid set plate. Solenoids are not interchangeable. If solenoid is being replaced, ensure new solenoid has same marking as solenoid being replaced.
