EGR Lift Sensor

ECU contains data for ideal EGR valve lifts for varying operating conditions. The EGR lift sensor detects amount of EGR valve lift and sends the information to ECU. ECU compares this information (actual EGR valve lift) with ideal EGR valve lift. If there is a difference between the 2 signals, ECU closes EGR control solenoid valve to reduce vacuum applied to EGR valve.
