Disassembly (Legend)

  1. Remove power steering pump from vehicle. See POWER STEERING PUMP  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using Universal Holder (07725-0030000 ) to hold pump pulley, remove pulley bolt and pulley. Pulley bolt has right-hand threads.
  2. Remove control valve cap. See Figure. Remove control valve, spring and "O" ring. Remove inlet joint and "O" ring. Remove pump front cover. Remove pump cam ring from pump housing.
  3. Remove pump rotor and vanes. Remove 2 rollers, side plate and preload spring. Remove snap ring from drive shaft. Using a plastic hammer, remove drive shaft assembly from pump housing. Remove pump seal spacer and oil seal.
