KICKDOWN Switch

  1. Kickdown switch is located below accelerator pedal. See Figure . Disconnect electrical connector at kickdown switch. Connect ohmmeter between electrical connector terminals on kickdown switch.
  2. Depress accelerator pedal and note that continuity exists. If continuity exits, kickdown switch is okay. If continuity does not exist, check for proper switch adjustment. See KICKDOWN SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Replace kickdown switch if switch is properly adjusted.
