Test D: Seat Memory Switch Does Not Work At Position No. 2

  1. Turn ignition switch on. Measure voltage at the Blue/Yellow wire terminal in the memory switch connector. See Figure . If voltage is 5 volts, go to the next step. If voltage is not as specified, go to step  3 .
  2. Disconnect the connector from the memory switch. Connect a jumper wire between the Blue/Yellow and Black wire terminals and measure voltage. If voltage at the Blue/Yellow terminal drops to less than one volt, replace the memory switch. If voltage is not as specified, check for an open in the Blue/Yellow or Black wires.
  3. Disconnect the connector from the memory switch. If voltage is 5 volts at the Blue/Yellow wire terminal, replace the memory switch. If voltage is not as specified, check the Blue/Yellow wire for a short to ground. If the wire is okay, install a known-good control unit and retest.
