Checking Fluid Level

NOTE: Check the fluid level with the engine at normal operating temperature (cooling fan will come on).
  1. Park the vehicle on level ground. Turn off the engine.
  2. NOTE: Check the transaxle fluid 60 to 90 seconds after shutting off the engine.
  3. Remove the dipstick (Yellow loop) from the transaxle, and wipe it with a clean cloth. See Fig 1 .
  4. Insert the dipstick into the transaxle. Make sure you reseat the dipstick to get an accurate reading.
  5. Remove the dipstick, and check the fluid level. Fluid level should be between the upper and lower marks.
  6. If the fluid level is below the lower mark, add fluid into the tube to bring it to the upper mark. Use appropriate fluid. See RECOMMENDED FLUID  .
  7. Insert the dipstick back into the transaxle.
