Checking Fluid Level
NOTE:
Check the fluid level with the engine at normal operating temperature (cooling fan will come on).
- Park the vehicle on level ground. Turn off the engine.
- Remove the dipstick (Yellow loop) from the transaxle, and wipe it with a clean cloth. See Fig 1 .
- Insert the dipstick into the transaxle. Make sure you reseat the dipstick to get an accurate reading.
- Remove the dipstick, and check the fluid level. Fluid level should be between the upper and lower marks.
- If the fluid level is below the lower mark, add fluid into the tube to bring it to the upper mark. Use appropriate fluid. See RECOMMENDED FLUID .
- Insert the dipstick back into the transaxle.
NOTE:
Check the transaxle fluid 60 to 90 seconds after shutting off the engine.
