Valve Stem Installed Height

After servicing valves, measure valve stem installed height. See Fig 1 . If valve stem installed height exceeds 1.633" (41.485 mm) for intake valve, or 1.712" (43.485 mm) for exhaust valve, replace valve. If valve stem installed height still exceeds limit, replace cylinder head.
