Overhaul - "Y" Series: Differential: Introduction: Disassembly

Check bearings for wear and rough rotation. If bearings need replacing, use bearing puller and remove bearings from differential carrier. To install bearings, use bearing driver.
Remove ring gear. Differential carrier assembly is not serviceable. DO NOT disassemble. See Figure .
