Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

1. Engine coolant temperature sensor is located in coolant pipe, near throttle body and contains a Red/White wire and Green/White wire in the electrical connector. See Figure -Figure .
2. Disconnect electrical connector from engine coolant temperature sensor. Using ohmmeter, check engine coolant temperature sensor resistance in accordance with engine coolant temperature. See Fig 1 . Replace engine coolant temperature sensor if resistance is not as specified.
