Left Mirror Inoperative

  1. Remove power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. Using jumper wires, connect Black/Yellow wire to Yellow/Red wire, and either the Yellow/White or Yellow/Black wire to ground.
  2. If mirror does not tilt down (or swing left), check for open in Yellow/White or Yellow/Black wire between mirror switch and mirror. If mirror doesn't move at all, check Yellow/Red wire. If wiring is okay, test mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST. If mirror operates correctly, test mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST.


  1. Remove power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using jumper wires, connect Black/Yellow(2) wire to Blue/Green wire, and either the Blue/White or Blue/Black wire to ground. Turn ignition on for 2 seconds, then off.
  2. If mirror does not tilt down (or swing left), check for open in Blue/White or Blue/Black wire between mirror switch and mirror. If mirror doesn't move at all, check Blue/Green wire. If wiring is okay, test mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST. If mirror operates correctly, test switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST.


  1. Remove power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. Using jumper wires, connect Yellow/Black(1) wire to Yellow/Black(2) wire, and either the Blue/White or Yellow/Red wire to ground.
  2. If mirror does not tilt down (or swing left), check for open in Blue/White or Yellow/Red wire between mirror switch and mirror. If mirror doesn't move at all, check Yellow/Black(2) wire. If wiring is okay, test mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST. If mirror operates correctly, test mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST.
