Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

1. Sensor is located on cylinder head, below distributor and contains a Red/White wire and Green/Blue wire in the electrical connector. See Figure .
2. Disconnect electrical connector from sensor. Using ohmmeter, check sensor resistance in accordance with coolant temperature. See Fig 1 . Replace ECT sensor if resistance is not as specified.
