A/T Gear Position Indicator

NOTE: If necessary, refer to wiring schematic when checking component wiring. See Fig 4 .
  1. Remove instrument panel gauge assembly from instrument panel. Disconnect electrical connectors "B" "C" and "D" from rear of instrument panel gauge assembly. See Fig 1 .
  2. Check for voltage and continuity at electrical connectors as specified. See Fig 2 . If necessary to check ground connections G201 or G401, ground connection G201 is located at passenger's side front corner of engine compartment, on inner fender panel. Ground connection G401 is located behind driver's side of instrument panel, above kick panel. See Fig 3 .
  3. If necessary to check No. 15 fuse (10-amp), fuse is located in fuse box on driver's side of instrument panel, near steering column. If necessary to access TCM, the TCM is located behind driver's side kick panel. See Figure . If necessary to access ECM, the ECM is located behind passenger's side kick panel, below instrument panel.
