Control Unit Input Test
- Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM
article. Cruise control unit is located near right kick panel. Turn ignition off. Remove glove box. Disconnect cruise control unit 14-pin connector.
- Ensure connector and terminals are okay. Repair as necessary and retest system. If connector and terminals are okay, using a DVOM, perform cruise control unit input tests. See Fig 1
. If an input test indicates a problem, find and correct cause and retest system. If all input test results are okay, replace cruise control unit.
