Control Unit Input

NOTE: Several different wires have the same color. They have been given a number suffix to distinguish them (for example YEL/GRN and YEL/GRN2 are not the same).
Recheck the connections between the 22-P connector and the control unit, the 16-P connector and the control unit, then replace the control unit if all input tests prove OK.
  1. Remove the glove box to disconnect the 22-P connector and 16-P connector from the control unit.
  2. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to ensure they are all making good contact.
  3. If wire terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary. Recheck system.
  4. If the terminals are okay, perform pin out tests at the connector. See Fig 1 -Fig 3 .
  5. It any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause. Recheck system.
  6. If all input tests prove okay, the control unit must be faulty. Replace control unit.
