Active Torque Transfer System (ATTS)

NOTE: Only Prelude Type SH is equipped with ATTS.
CAUTION: DO NOT rotate front wheels by hand. If wheels are not rotated by engine, ATTS unit will be damaged.
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Start engine and shift transaxle into Reverse. Accelerate to 6 MPH. Shift transaxle to Neutral and slowly decelerate to zero MPH.
  2. Engage parking brake lever within 10 seconds after reaching zero MPH. ATTS indicator light on instrument panel should start flashing. Release parking brake. Shift transaxle into 1st gear. Slowly accelerate to 12 MPH. ATTS should go into test mode. Steering wheel should vibrate 2 times and indicator light should go off.
  3. If ATTS indicator light does not go off, repeat steps  1 and  2. If indicator light still does not go off, check for system Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). See ATTS DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC) .
