Anti-Theft Controller Circuit Test

NOTE: With anti-theft controller disconnected, starter is inoperative.

Using an ohmmeter or voltmeter, check for continuity or voltage between ground and anti-theft controller connector terminal specified in appropriate ANTI-THEFT CONTROLLER CIRCUIT TEST  table. See Fig 1 . If all circuits test as specified, replace anti-theft controller.

7 (Door Lock Switch)(2) Knob Unlocked/Locked Continuity/No Continuity To Ground
8 (Detect Switch)(2) Unlocked/Locked With Key Continuity/No Continuity To Ground
9 (Indicator Light) ..... (3) Continuity
11 (Ground) ..... Continuity To Ground
12 (Horn) ..... (3) Continuity
13 (Lighting Relay) ..... (3) Continuity -
14 (Starter) ..... 0 Volts
(1) - Pin numbers not listed are not used.
(2) - Includes tailgate switch circuit.
(3) -If checking circuit voltage, voltage should exist (12 volts).
