Cruise Control Actuator

- Disconnect cruise control actuator harness connector. Measure resistance or current at specified actuator terminals. See CRUISE CONTROL ACTUATOR VALUES . See Fig 1 . Replace cruise control actuator if readings are not as specified.
- Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage to actuator terminal No. 2, and ground actuator terminal No. 3. Actuator motor should operate smoothly.
- Leaving jumper wires connected from step 2), apply ground to terminals No. 1 and 4. Actuator cable should move.
- Disconnect ground from terminals No. 1 and 4. Actuator cable should move in opposite direction of previous step. If actuator does not test as described, replace actuator vacuum pump and VSV.
