Oil Pressure Switch Test
- Disconnect Yellow/Red wire from oil pressure switch. Switch is located at base of oil filter. With engine off, continuity should exist between oil pressure switch terminal and ground. Continuity should not exist with engine running.
- If oil pressure switch is okay, check for poor connections or open in Yellow/Red wire between oil pressure indicator light and oil pressure switch. If circuits are okay, test actual engine oil pressure. See OIL PRESSURE TEST under SYSTEM TESTS. If switch does not function as specified but oil level and oil pressure are okay, replace oil pressure switch.
