Section 7 (Anti-Lock): Description

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is designed to prevent wheel lock-up during hard braking. This allows driver to maintain control of vehicle under severe braking conditions. System consists of ABS control unit, wheel sensors, wheel pulsers (trigger wheel), ABS modulator unit (ABS pump, pump motor, inlet and outlet solenoid valves, reservoir and damping chamber), indicator light, master cylinder, power booster assembly, pump motor relay, fail-safe relay and connecting wiring.
