Cruise Control Actuator Assembly: 2.5TL
- Disconnect cruise control actuator Gray 4-pin connector. Ensure output linkage operates smoothly without binding or sticking. Using a fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to cruise control actuator Gray 4-pin connector terminal No. 4 (White wire). Using another jumper wire, ground cruise control actuator Gray 4-pin connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire).
- Cruise control actuator clutch should make a clicking sound and output linkage should be locked. When battery voltage is removed, output linkage should unlock and move smoothly. If actuator does not operate as specified, replace actuator. If actuator operates as specified, go to next step.
- Using a fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to cruise control actuator Gray 4-pin connector terminal No. 3 (Brown wire). Using another jumper wire, ground cruise control actuator Gray 4-pin connector terminal No. 2 (Blue wire). When output linkage is in fully closed and middle positions, actuator motor should operate. In the fully opened position, actuator motor should stop operating. See Figure . If actuator motor operates as specified, go to next step. If actuator motor does not operate as specified, replace actuator.
