Section 29 (Anti-Theft Systems): Operation

If anti-theft system is activated, the horns will sound and a combination of headlights, side marker lights, parking lights and taillights will flash. See Fig 1 . System activation will last for approximately 2 minutes or until system is turned off. Anti-theft system will be activated when:
- Any door or trunk is forcibly opened (without using a key or remote transmitter).
- Hood is opened.
- Engine starter circuit and battery circuit are by-passed by breaking ignition switch.
- Hood or trunk opener in vehicle is operated.
- Battery terminals are disconnected and reconnected.
- Radio is removed from instrument panel or radio wiring is cut.
- Panic button on remote transmitter is pressed.
Anti-theft system can be turned off by unlocking either front door using a key or remote transmitter.
