Combination Light Switch

  1. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Remove instrument panel lower cover and knee bolster (if equipped). Disconnect combination light switch Gray 20-pin connector and White 14-pin connector, located left of steering column. See Fig 1 .
  2. Ensure connectors and terminals are okay. If terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair as necessary. Check for continuity between specified terminals in each switch position. See Fig 1 . If continuity does not exist, check switch harness for continuity. If continuity exists in switch harness, replace combination light switch. If switch harness continuity does not exist, repair switch harness.
