Section 52 (Anti-Lock Brake System): Description

The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is designed to prevent wheel lock-up during hard braking. This allows driver to maintain control of vehicle under severe braking conditions. System consists of ABS control unit, accumulator, pressure switch, pump assembly, wheel sensors, wheel pulsers (trigger wheel), ABS modulator unit, indicator light, master cylinder, power booster assembly, pump motor relay, fail-safe relays and connecting wiring.
