Check Engine Light Does Not Come On

NOTE: The ECM is part of the immobilizer system. If you substitute a known-good ECM, the ECM will have a different immobilizer code. In order for the engine to start, the immobilizer code must be rewritten using the Honda PGM Tester. See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

If CHECK ENGINE light does not come on for two seconds immediately after turning key to ON, see Fig 1 .
