DTC P1607: Pcm Internal Failure

  1. Turn ignition on. Perform PCM reset procedure. See PCM RESET PROCEDURE/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Wait 30 seconds. If DTC P1607 does not set, go to next step. If DTC P1607 sets, replace PCM.
  2. Turn ignition off, then on. Wait 10 seconds. If DTC P1607 sets, replace PCM. If DTC P1607 does not set, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time.
