Retrieving DTC Using SCS Service Connector

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Acura Integra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Connect SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100) to service check 2-pin connector. See Figure.
NOTE: If service connector is connected sooner than 10 seconds after ignition is turned off, SRS unit will not be completely reset and will not output DTCs.
  2. Turn ignition on. SRS indicator light will come on for about 6 seconds and go off. DTC will be indicated next. DTC consists of a main code and a sub-code. Up to 3 different malfunctions can be indicated. In case of a continuous failure, DTC will be indicated repeatedly. In case of an intermittent failure, SRS indicator light will indicate DTC once, then it will stay on. If both a continuous and an intermittent failure occur, only DTC of continuous failure will be indicated. In case system is normal (no DTC), SRS indicator light will stay on.
  3. Read DTC. Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Disconnect SCS service connector from service check connector.
