Retrieving DTC Using SCS Service Connector

- Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Connect SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100) to service check 2-pin connector. See Figure.NOTE: If service connector is connected sooner than 10 seconds after ignition is turned off, SRS unit will not be completely reset and will not output DTCs.
- Turn ignition on. SRS indicator light will come on for about 6 seconds and go off. DTC will be indicated next. DTC consists of a main code and a sub-code. Up to 3 different malfunctions can be indicated. In case of a continuous failure, DTC will be indicated repeatedly. In case of an intermittent failure, SRS indicator light will indicate DTC once, then it will stay on. If both a continuous and an intermittent failure occur, only DTC of continuous failure will be indicated. In case system is normal (no DTC), SRS indicator light will stay on.
- Read DTC. Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Disconnect SCS service connector from service check connector.
