Shift Lock Solenoid
- Remove front console. See FRONT CONSOLE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect shift lock solenoid harness connector. Note connector terminals and wire colors. See Fig 1 . Also see WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Connect battery voltage to shift lock solenoid terminal No. 1 and momentarily connect solenoid terminal No. 2 to ground. Ensure shift lock releases when release lever is pushed and locks when release lever is released. Replace shift lock solenoid if solenoid does not operate properly. See SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
CAUTION:
Battery voltage must be applied to correct shift lock solenoid terminal or diode inside shift lock solenoid will be damaged.
