Trunk Actuator/Latch Switch

  1. Open trunk lid. Disconnect trunk key cylinder switch 6-pin harness connector. See Fig 1 . Using a DVOM, check continuity between terminals No. 2 (Green wire) and No. 6 (Blue wire) of trunk lid actuator harness connector with switch in locked position. If continuity exists, replace faulty switch. If continuity does not exist, rotate key to unlocked position and check continuity between terminals. If continuity does not exist, replace faulty switch.
  2. Using jumper wires, momentarily apply positive battery voltage to terminal No. 3 (Blue/Green wire) and ground terminal No. 4 (Black wire) of trunk lock actuator. Observe actuator operation. Replace actuator if it does not move to unlocked position.
