Ignition Control Module (ICM)

- Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, perform ICM input tests.
- Disconnect the 8-pin connector from the ICM. See Fig 1 .
- Perform circuit tests on the connector as shown in the chart. If any test indicates a problem, find and correct cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, replace ICM.
