Removal & Installation
- Shift the transmission into the "N" position.
- Remove the center console. See CENTER CONSOLE .
- Disconnect the shift lock solenoid and park pin switch connectors. See Fig 1.
- Shift the transmission into "1" position.
- Remove the self-locking nut and shift cable end collar, then remove the shift cable from the shift lever link.
- Remove shift lever mounting bolts (4).
- Remove the shift cable bracket (2) front the shift lever assembly, then remove the shift lever assembly.
- Install the shift lever assembly in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
Take care not to bend the shift cable.
