How to End a Troubleshooting Session

This procedure must be done after any troubleshooting.

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Reset the PCM using one of these methods:
   • Use the Scan Tool or the HDS, then disconnect the Scan Tool or the HDS from the DLC.
   • Disconnect the Scan Tool or the HDS from the DLC, then reset the PCM by removing the No. 6 ECU fuse in the underhood relay/fuse box for more than 10 seconds.
     NOTE: After resetting the PCM, do the PCM idle learn procedure (see ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE ).
3. To verify that the problem is repaired, test-drive the vehicle for several minutes at speeds over 30 mph (50 km/h) or in freeze data range.
