Dust and Pollen Filter Replacement
NOTE:
Dust and pollen filter may be an optional component on certain sub-models. Manufacturer does not provide identification information on which sub-models are equipped with filter.
The dust and pollen filter should be replaced every 30,000 miles (48,000 km) or 24 months, whichever comes first. Replace the filter more often if the airflow is less than usual, or if the vehicle is driven in areas that have high concentrations of soot from industry or diesel powered vehicles.
- Remove the glove box housing (see GLOVE BOX HOUSING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the dust and pollen filter assembly from the evaporator.
- Remove the filter (A) from the housing (B), and replace the filter.
- Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the evaporator.
