HFL Switch/HFL-Voice Control Switch Test/Replacement
NOTE:
Information marked with asterisk ( * ) applies to the switch with navigation system.
- Remove the driver's airbag (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
- Disconnect the 5P connector (A).
- Remove the two screws and HFL switch or HFL-voice control switch* (B).
- Measure resistance between the No. 3 and No. 2 terminals in each switch position according to the table.HFL SWITCH (TERMINAL NO. 3 AND NO. 2)
Position Resistance OFF About 1 kΩ HFL Talk button pressed About 187 kΩ HFL Back button pressed About 45 kΩ NAVIGATION VOICE CONTROL SWITCH (TERMINAL NO. 1 AND NO. 2)Position Resistance OFF About 10 kΩ Talk button pressed About 2.2 kΩ Back button pressed About 637 Ω - If the resistance is not as specified, replace the switch.
