Front Seat Frame Replacement

Special Tools Required
KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *

SRS components are located in this area Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ) and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or service
- Do the front passenger weight sensor inialization after front passenger seat frame replacement (see
SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR INITIALIZATION
)
- Driver's seat position sensor replacement
- Cover plate (front side of driver's seat slide rail) replacement
- Do the seat weight sensor initialization (see SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR INITIALIZATION ) after front passenger's seat frame replacement
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components
- If the side airbag has deployed, replace the seat frame and related parts with new ones (see COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/INSPECTION AFTER DEPLOYMENT )
- Remove the front seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Remove these items
- Front seat-back cover/pad (see FRONT SEAT-BACK COVER REPLACEMENT )
- Front seat cushion cover/pad (see FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER REPLACEMENT )
- Seat belt buckle (see FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE )
- Side airbag (see SIDE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT )
- Detach the clips (A, B), then remove the upper rail outer cover (C)

Passenger's seat
- Detach the clip (A, B), then remove the upper rail inner cover (C)

Passenger's seat
- Remove the recline inner cover (A) and the center inner cover (B) from the seat frame (C)
- Install the new seat frame in the reverse order of removal, and note these items
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones
- Push the clips into place securely
