Error code: XM NO SIGNAL is displayed
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check the connectors for poor connection or loose terminals.
- Park vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Turn on the audio unit, and select XM radio.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES- Reception interference operation is normal.
NO-
- With AcuraLink: Go to step 4.
- Without AcuraLink: Go to step 10.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Check the AM/FM/XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector C (2P).
Are the connectors connected?
YES- Go to step 6.
NO- Reconnect the AM/FM/XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit connector C (2P) connector, and recheck XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored, go to step 3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.Fig 1: Measuring Voltage Between Acuralink Control Unit Connector A (20P) Terminal 1 And Body Ground

Is there battery voltage?
YES- Go to step 8.
NO- Repair open in the wire between the No. 23 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P) terminal No. 1.

Is there less than 0.1 V?
YES- Go to step 9.
NO- Repair open in the wire between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P) terminal No. 11 and body ground (G505) (see GROUND TO COMPONENTS INDEX ).
- Substitute a known-good AM/FM/XM antenna.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES- Replace the AM/FM/XM antenna (see AM/FM/XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ).
NO- Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) receives a signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) does not receive a signal, substitute a known-good AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) (see ACURALINK CONTROL UNIT (XM RECEIVER) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Check the connection at AM/FM/XM antenna connector B (2P) and XM receiver connector B (2P).
Are the connectors connected?
YES- Go to step 12.
NO- Reconnect the connectors and recheck the XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored go to step 10.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?
YES- Go to step 14.
NO- Repair open in the wire between audio unit connector B (14P) terminal No. 1 and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1.
- Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground.

Is there less than 0.1 V?
YES- Go to step 15.
NO- Repair open in the wire between audio unit connector B (14P) terminal No. 11 and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11.
- Substitute a known-good AM/FM/XM antenna.
Does the XM radio receive signal?
YES- Replace the AM/FM/XM antenna (see AM/FM/XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ).
NO- Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver receives a signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver does not receive a signal, substitute a known-good XM receiver (see ACURALINK CONTROL UNIT (XM RECEIVER) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
