HFL Switch Test

Remove the driver's airbag (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
Disconnect the 20P connector from the cable reel.

Measure the resistance between the No. 18 and No. 20 terminals in each switch position according to the table.

HFL SWITCH POSITION

Position	Resistance
OFF	About 1 kΩ
HFL Talk button pressed	About 185 Ω
HFL Back button pressed	About 45 Ω

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
