XM Self-diagnosis

NOTE: The diagnostic screen checks the audio unit's XM radio reception level. To check the XM reception, do the following:
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  2. Select XM1 mode.
  3. Make sure the audio system is turned off, then turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  4. Push and hold the preset No. 3 and No. 6 buttons.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  6. While holding the buttons for 5 seconds, then release the buttons.
  7. Press and release preset No. 1 button to read the error code.

    ERROR 04 NO SIGNAL Move the vehicle to an open area and recheck
    ERROR 05 NO XM ACTIVATION Contact XM satellite radio at 800-852-9696
    ERROR 06 NO XM AUTHORIZATION Contact XM satellite radio at 800-852-9696
    ERROR 14 ANTENNA NO CONNECTED/NO SIGNAL Refer to Error code: XM ANTENNA is displayed;
    ERROR 24 ANTENNA SHORTED/NO SIGNAL Refer to Error code: XM ANTENNA is displayed;
    ERROR 55 HARDWARE FAILURE (CONDITIONAL ACCESS FAILURE Replace the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) (see With AcuraLink ) or the XM receiver (see Without AcuraLink )
    ERROR 65 HARDWARE FAILURE (CONDITIONAL ACCESS FAILURE Replace the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) (see With AcuraLink ) or the XM receiver (see Without AcuraLink )
  8. To end the XM self-diagnosis, turn the audio system off, or turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
