Yaw Rate-Lateral/Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Replacement
NOTE:
- Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
- Do not use power tools.
- Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).
- Remove the center console side panel (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the center console panel (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the shift lever mounting bolts (see
SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL
).NOTE: Only remove items needed to gain access.
- Remove the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor bracket attachment bolts, and then disconnect the sensor connector (A).
- Pull out the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor bracket (B) with the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor.
- Remove the sensor mounting bolts, and then separate the sensor (C) from the bracket.
- Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
- Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization (see VSA SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION MEMORIZATION ).
