Yaw Rate-Lateral/Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Replacement

NOTE:
  • Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
  • Do not use power tools.
  1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).
  2. Remove the center console side panel (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Remove the center console panel (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the shift lever mounting bolts (see SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL ).
    NOTE: Only remove items needed to gain access.
  5. Remove the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor bracket attachment bolts, and then disconnect the sensor connector (A).

  6. Pull out the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor bracket (B) with the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor.
  7. Remove the sensor mounting bolts, and then separate the sensor (C) from the bracket.
  8. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
  9. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization (see VSA SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION MEMORIZATION ).
