Center Console Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required 

KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *

* Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program, call 888-424-6857

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands
  • Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or related parts
  • Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components
  • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage
  1. Remove these items
  2. Disconnect the center console RF unit connector. Remove the center console RF unit mounting bolts, then remove the center console RF unit (A)

  3. Remove the parking brake lever mounting bolts

    Bolt specification: 8 x 1.25 mm, 32 N.m (3.3 kgf.m, 24 lb.ft) 

  4. Disconnect the center console subharness connector (A), the parking brake switch connector (B), the center console RF unit connector (D), and the USB adapter unit connector (D), then remove the wire harness clips (E)

  5. Remove the screws securing the center console (A)

  6. Remove the bolts securing the center console (A)

    Bolt specification: 6 x 1.0 mm, 9.8 N.m (1.0 kgf.m, 7.2 lb.ft) 

  7. Remove the center console (A)
    1. -1 Detach the clips (B) securing the passenger's front console cover (C)
    2. -2 Detach the clips (D) by pulling the console out from both sides, and pull up the console to release the guide pin (E)

  8. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items
    • Make sure each connector is plugged in properly
    • If the clips are damaged, replace them with new ones
    • Push the clips and the hooks into place securely
