HFL Switch Test

  1. Remove the audio remote, HFL-navigation voice control switch or the audio remote-HFL switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).

  2. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 9 and No. 11 in each switch position according to the table.
    HFL SWITCH (WITH NAVIGATION)

    Position Resistance
    No button pressed About 10k Ω
    PICK-UP button pressed About 47 Ω
    HANG-UP button pressed About 220 Ω
    HFL SWITCH (WITHOUT NAVIGATION)

    Position Resistance
    No button pressed About 1 kΩ
    HFL TALK button pressed About 46 Ω
    HFL BACK button pressed About 185 Ω

  3. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the audio remote, HFL-navigation voice control switch or the audio remote-HFL switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
