• Removal

1. Disconnect the connector (a). (Figure 1)

2. Tie a string (b) to the end of the connector (c). (Figure 2)

3. Pull out the harness part (d) of the power tailgate pinch sensor from the tailgate opening (e) while leaving the end of the string in the tailgate. (Figure 3)

NOTE: When reusing the power tailgate pinch sensor: Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the tailgate and the power tailgate pinch sensor.

• Installation

NOTE:

Tie the string onto the power tailgate pinch sensor and pull the sensor through the tailgate.
If you are reusing the removed power tailgate pinch sensor, apply new double-sided tape according to the specifications table.
