■ Preconditions
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected
■ Key Information

Do the following before starting your work.

Remove:
- Front Wheel
- Undercover Area Parts
  - Engine Undercover
  - Rear Engine Undercover (With Rear Engine Undercover)
- Exhaust Pipe A
- Alternator
■ Sub-Procedure

- Refer to the figure.

• Installation

NOTE: Make sure the crimped side of the ring terminal faces away from the starter when you connect the positive starter cable.

■ After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
NOTE:
- If the starter is replaced, do this procedure. (With Auto Idle Stop System)
- If the starter is replaced, replace starter cut relay 1, starter cut relay 2, and the oil pressure switch at the same time.
- Replace starter cut relay 1, starter cut relay 2 , and the oil pressure switch .
- Connect the HDS to the DLC .
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.
  - PGM-FI (System Selection Menu)
  - ADJUSTMENT MENU
  - IDLE STOP STARTER COUNTER CLEAR
