DTC B1040: Inspection

+B_WIPER, GND Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• 1. -

     Windshield wiper control unit/motor 6P connector: disconnected

  2. -

     Body control module connector C (28P): disconnected

• Procedure
• 1. -

     Perform the inspection according to the following table.

	+B_WIPER circuit inspection	ON			12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1]
	GND open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	LIN(FR_WIPER) open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	NOTE:  Refer to: Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	LIN(FR_WIPER) shorted to ground inspection	OFF			Not shorted

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

  NOTE:  If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.

• If normal, there is a problem with the body control module.
