Retainer Replacement
A disconnected quick-connect fitting can be reconnected, but replace the retainer (a) (Figure 1) when:
- The retainer is damaged.
- The retainer has been removed from the line.
- Replacing a new part that does not include the retainer. (a fuel line, a fuel tank unit etc.)

Use the same manufacturer retainer and the same size retainer when replacing.
