Turbocharger Wastegate Control Actuator Component Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• • Turbocharger 5P connector: disconnected
• Procedure
• • Perform the inspection according to the following table.

			(Disconnected) Turbocharger 5P connector male terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	Actuator internal circuit inspection	OFF		About 1.2 Ohm - 1.0 kOhm
		OFF		Not shorted
		OFF		Not shorted

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the turbocharger.

WGMTR1, WGMTR2 Circuit Inspection 

NOTICE: 

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• • Turbocharger 5P connector: disconnected
  • PCM connector E (80P): disconnected
• Procedure
• • Perform the inspection according to the following table.

			(Disconnected) Turbocharger 5P connector female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector E (80P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals

	WGMTR1 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	WGMTR2 open wire Inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	WGMTR1, WGMTR2 shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
	NOTE: Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	WGMTR1 shorted to ground inspection	OFF			Not shorted
	WGMTR2 shorted to ground inspection	OFF			Not shorted

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the PCM.
